What is Pizza Thursday
On Thursdays, we host Pizza Thursday to raise money to fund our projects in our partner communities at Kiewit Hall, our engineering building on campus. Students from all engineering majors come to Pizza Thursday to network with the company who sponsored us and enjoy free pizza. Companies also have the option to hand out flyers or company branded merchandise if they choose. This is a wonderful way to get lots of engagement with students and the company’s recruiters since our advertisement reaches all corners of the College of Engineering. We typically see over a hundred students talk to recruiters at these events.
Sponsorship Details
Additional Cost: each person who talks to the recruiters receives one free pizza voucher. If they provide their resume, they receive two vouchers. At the end of the event, we will tally up the total vouchers that were distributed and charge the company accordingly for the pizza each student took ($5.50 for one slice, $9 for two), plus the sponsorship base charge.
Charging sponsors per slice incentivizes our student members to persuade as many students as possible to talk with your company recruiters. If you have an upper limit on spending, let us know and we can limit the amount of pizza we buy in advance. We are also open to alternative approaches that align with your company’s goals and preferences.
